Distance to the water

The minimum distance between the LED bar and the water surface should be 50mm or the LED bar must not get wet permanently or repeatedly.
Our LED bars (eco+, PRO² and aquaLUMix) are manufactured according to protection class IP67 and can also be used inside a wet aquarium cover. Not suitable for underwater use! 
Choose a ventilated place for the LED bar. The LED bar cools passively via the ambient air; there must be sufficient air circulation. Complete enclosure leads to a build-up of heat and impairs the service life. With closed aquarium covers, the existing openings for cables and hoses are usually sufficient for ventilation. If an above-average amount of LED lighting is installed, observe the heat development in the cover and create additional openings for ventilation if necessary.
