Heat recovery with aquaLUMix and PRO² LED bars.
LED bars with integrated water cooling offer significant benefits. Firstly, they ensure excellent cooling of the LEDs and use the resulting waste heat efficiently to warm the aquarium water. Over time, LEDs in both household and aquaristics settings diminish in brightness. The standard lifespan value for an LED, such as 40,000 hours, indicates that after this period, the brightness of the LED will have decreased to 50% of its original capacity. Proper cooling can substantially slow down this loss of luminosity.
While a temperature-optimized aluminum profile provides passive cooling, active water cooling is often superior. It transfers the thermal energy, which would be lost in conventional LED bars, directly to the aquarium water, reducing the need for additional heating. This makes LED water cooling with heat recovery an effective energy-saving measure and a significant advantage for aquarists.
