Frame-mounted LED aquarium lamps without ceiling suspension
A frame-mounted lamp attaches directly to the aquarium. It suits open tanks where you do not want an overhead suspension, as well as compatible glass-covered aquariums. The lighting stays close to the tank and is installed with the designated accessories. Before choosing, look carefully at the aquarium's upper edge and available support points.
A complete light unit or a housing with your own choice of bars?
aquaLUMix combines several light colours and four independently dimmable channels in one unit. Suitable rim-mounting hardware positions it above the aquarium. If you want to choose individual LED bars, a lamp housing accommodates your own combination. Select the housing length, bars and mounting hardware together.
Complete sets with a frame-mounted lamp housing are available for this installation. Use the offered options to adapt the lighting and accessories to your tank. This makes choosing easier when you do not already have components.
Which measurements matter for mounting?
Check the support points, glass thickness and adjustment range of the mounts. A nominally suitable light length does not guarantee a correct fit. An existing frame or an unusual rim shape can affect installation. Also check that glass cover panels can still be opened or removed.
Select light output according to water depth, planting and the coverage required. A compatible dimmer can reduce brightness; a lighting controller provides an automatic daily cycle with supported lights. If the aquarium rim does not offer a suitable mounting point, consider suspended lamps.
