Power supply for SunRiser-High-Power-Solution

With the High-Power-Solution a specially configured and dimmable LED power supply is used at an output channel of the SunRiser light control. This so-called master/slave operation allows a connected load of up to 192W (-10%) per channel on one SunRsier!

Functional description:
In the standard application, a SunRiser draws power from an LED switching power supply and routes it to the LEDs via its output channels. Thus the maximum possible number of LED bars to be connected is limited by the maximum power of the power supply, or by the maximum connected load of the controller and the individual channel.  In the example of the SunRiser 10 this means a maximum of 240W/12V. With extensive projects, the limit of feasibility is quickly reached and a 2nd or 3rd system is needed.  
High-Power-Solution: 

The master/slave solution described below offers a significant performance boost. One of our standard LED switching power supplies—any power rating—serves as the master. The 35W model is already sufficient and powers only the lighting controller itself.

Slaves are specially configured LED power supplies connected to one or more outputs of the lighting controller. These are available with a rated power of either 120W or 192W (minus 10% reserve). A single SunRiser 10 can thus control up to 10 × 192W/12V (-10%), which corresponds to approx. 60 eco+ LED bars at 100 cm each. It is also possible to run 10 × aquaLUMix 144 cm units on one SunRiser 10.

Additionally, the slave power supplies can be positioned remotely from the lighting controller. This means that only the control cable needs to be extended, allowing the LED cables to remain short. This avoids reducing the LEDs' efficiency and minimizes susceptibility to interference due to long cable lengths.

To connect multiple LED bars to a single power supply, you can find an LED splitter in our shop. Naturally, all LEDs connected to the same slave power supply will be dimmed/controlled together.

Please note:

  1. The power supplies may only be used with the supplied adapter plug on the SunRiser or DIMIX6.
  2. The power supplies should be operated with LEDs that require at least 60% of the maximum connected load. Example, if only a 10W LED would be operated at a 480W power supply, no dimming function is given - a base load of min. 60% must be given.
  3. The dimming function of the power supplies cannot technically implement brightness values in the range of 1-10%, so the LEDs switch on and off at approx. 10% brightness. A very weak glow of the LEDs as allowed by the SunRiser in normal operation is not possible here. For this minimum range, an LED bar connected directly to the light control should be used.
  4. The 480W version cannot be used multiple times on a single controller.


Compatible with the products: SunRiser 4+to 10, DIMIX 6. Not compatible with the SunRiser 2.

Scope of delivery: 1x power supply including adapter for connection to an output/channel of the products listed above.

These power supplies in a metal housing operate from 90 to 305V AC (47 to 63Hz) or 127 to 431V DC with an output voltage of 12V. They also have IP65 certification, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor LED lighting applications. With free convection cooling and fanless design, these power supplies have a high efficiency of up to 94% at an operating temperature of -40°C to 80°C. They are also protected against over-voltage, over-temperature, short-circuit and overload by current limiting and an automatic recovery mode, and comply with EN61347-1 and EN61347-2-13 safety standards and EN55015, EN61000-3-2 Class C, EN61000-3-3 and EN61547 EMC standards. These devices also have a wide range input and a built-in PFC function.
