Heating with light

The aquaLUMix can optionally be used with the innovative heat recovery system, although it is not strictly required. The temperature-optimized aluminum profile already ensures effective passive cooling without this technology.
With active water cooling, not only is optimal LED cooling achieved, but the waste heat is also efficiently utilized to additionally heat the aquarium through heat recovery. The potential of heat recovery can be demonstrated with our calculation tool.

Connection materials for operating the water cooling system

Supply the water cooling with a separate mini pump (can also be controlled via the light controller), which circulates the aquarium water through the aquaLUMix. Cleaning brushes are included for occasional maintenance to ensure optimal performance at all times.

Good to know: The specified power rating (Watts) of the power supply does not reflect the actual energy consumption of the lighting. The actual power usage is solely determined by the connected LED bars and the brightness set via the dimmer or lighting control. For example, the energy consumption of a 50W LED setup remains 50W, whether a 100W or 200W power supply is used. However, with a dimmer, the brightness—and consequently the power consumption—of the LED bars can be adjusted and reduced.

This is a spare part, this adapter cable is already included in the scope of delivery of the 12VDC mini pump. This adapter cable is absolutely necessary for operating the 12VDC mini pump (item 175-500) on a light control unit (SunRiser 2+, 2XL, 6, 8 or SIMU-LUX). When connecting, it is essential to observe the polarity of the connection, otherwise there is a risk of immediate defect. (Red=PLUS, Black=MINUS) It is not possible to operate the CO2 valve and the mini pump at the same output of a light control unit and this can lead to a defect in the light control unit.
